Its Been A Long Time

Hi fellow readers,

I know its been a while since my last post,  works been very busy.
Ill start with Punch-Out!! for the Wii.  This game supports the Wii Balance Board, m this allows you to duck and dodge by moving your feet.
Its been a while since Little Mac has had his own game.  The last time we saw him was on the Super Nintendo in Super Punch-Out back in 1995.  It took around 9 whole years for them to make a sequel.

Next ill move on to the two new Disney Epic Mickey 2 games.  The Power Of Two and Power Of Illusion.  Because of the company who made these games where liquidated over night the other month the prices of theses two games have dropped by half in most stores and sites.
I picked up the Exclusive Collector's Edition of The Power Of Two witch includes an exclusive figure, film cell and a Oswald USB Stick with exclusive behind the scenes commentary on it.

Now that the 3DS is taking over it is becoming even harder to find normal DS games.  The two i managed to pick up where Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland.  Tingles very own spin off game from the Wind Waker and Infinite Space.  One of SEGA's more mature RPG's.

Lets go retro, Game Boy Color and Advance.  Oddworld Adventures 2 Color, like in all the other Oddworld games Abe must save his race.  The two Advance games are Shaman King Master Of Spirits and Shining Soul.
Shining Soul is an action RPG produced by SEGA,  it just goes to show if they put the time in to it they can make a good game unlike the resent Sonic attempts.
Shaman King Master Of Spirits is based of the Shonen Jump's anime where a young boy has the ability to see spirits and fight beside them.  This game is an action plat former.

I'm going to move on to the Xbox and 360 now.  I found this seller on play.com that sells very cheap pre-owned games, all games are guaranteed to have the box, art work ant instruction book.  I brought Doom 3 Resurrection Of Evil on Xbox and it is in very good condition.  Also on the Xbox the Legacy Of Kain Defiance, I cant tell you anything about it because it is one of those games that don't work on the 360.
On the 360 I got an Square Enix RPG The Last Remnant,  the main guy has to save his girl friend by fighting larger then life monsters and creating new weapons.  This next game was recommended to me me, Too Human, Machines threaten to wipe out mankind so an enhanced super warrior is created to solve the problem.  One against a thousand typical storyline.  Could be good.

Back in January I got Sonic Generations, last month i found someone selling the commemorative Statue Separately.  Its a good little statue with classic sonic and the new sonic on the well known gold ring.

I also got the Collector's Edition of The Lord Of The Rings War In The North.  This is a great game, I played it start to finish with my mate before i decided to get it.  It comes with a very large Mountain Troll statue fighting a Drawf.



Yes I know I don't have a PS3 but when offered free stuff i cant say no.  A friend from work offered me the Hitman Absolution Bobble Head and i couldn't say no.  It came with the Art book and DVD.

 

 

This month is a big one for new games.  Castlevainia LOS MOF, Monster Hunter, Luigi's Mansion 2 and Devil Survivor.  Just Some of the amazing games on Pre-order for this month.

Who You Gona Call? MARIO!

Ghostbusters,  The Real Ghostbusters for the Game Boy.  This super rare action, puzzler has over 50 challenging levels.  You must find the hidden key to progress to the next level.  After each stage you are given a password so you can continue from where you left off.

 

The next one is very clever for its age.  Mario Paint with mouse.  Being able to incorporate a computer mouse to the SNES is ingenious,  but to the best of my knowledge it was only used in two games,  Mario Paint and the Japanese exclusive Wario & Mario.

 

 

This one is for the Game Cube.  Blood Omen 2,  The only Legacy Of Kain game of the series to have a Nintendo console release.

OK next, I know its early but the Easter eggs are out and yes, I have found a Mario one and here it is.  You get your basic chocolate egg with a cool mini lunch box with two small sheets of stickers.  The box also has some cut-out cards on the back so you can play snap with your favourite Mario   characters.

 

Next is a catch from the HMV Blue Cross Sale.  All Pluches 25% off.  Yoshi's, Toads and even Mario.

 

 

I got recommend Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic by a friend.  So I found it for cheap so I could have a go.

Crash Bang!

 

Hi Readers,

 

Ive been after this one for a long time.  Crash Mind Over Mutant for the Wii.  Crash takes over the biggest and baddest mutants and takes on the evil of the game.

 

 

 

I also got 3 Game Boy Games.

• Conker's Pocket Tales (GBC)
• Naruto Ninja Council 2 (GBA) USA
• Buffy The Vampire Slayer Wrath Of The Darkhul King (GBA)

3 very hard to come by games.

 

 

Next there is Dragon Ball Z: Super Legend of Goku -Chapter of Assault and Dragon Ball Z: Super Legend of Goku - Chapter of Awakening.  Two RPG Dragonball Z games for the Super Famicon (SNES).  Who don't like a good RPG.

 

Also two Japanese exclusive GBA Games Tales of The World Narikiri Dungeon 2 and One Piece Nanatsutou no Dai Hihou.



 

 

Jump to the original Xbox with Aliens Vs Predator Extinction.  A strategy based game were you can chose to be ether the Aliens, Predators or Human.

 

Next Resonance Of Fate for the Xbox 360.  This RPG has one of the most epic start up title screens and music ive seen so far.  See video below.

I Forgot To Blog

I let the games build up for six days.  I shouldn't of let this happen.  I'll start off by saying "Happy 25th Birthday Megaman", Yes this year Megaman has been with us for a whole 25 years and for this occasion i have picked up Megaman/ Rockman 7 for the Super Famicom.

Sticking with the retro theme I also picked up for the NES, Adventures Of LOLO 2 and Wrath Of The Black Manta.  Nothing like a good ninja game to get the blood pumping.

Now I'll move on to a classic that evolved with the times, Rainbow Islands Revolution on the DS.  Draw rainbows and guild your character with the stylus.  Full use of the touch screen.

I also got the Phantasy Star Collection on the GBA.  This includes Phantasy Star I, II & III.  That's right 3 classic games on 1 cart.

Moving on to modern day,  for the grand total of £1.99 off Ebay I got Ivy The Kiwi? for the Wii.

Now I'll move away from Nintendo and talk about my very first PC Game Purchase.  I got Crysis because i like the second one, but it turns out my PC is a load on rubbish and cant play it.  I'm about 6MB shy on the graphics card, It also turns out after days of research, that i cant even upgrade it because my computer is to small.  Talk about a crysis.

I also got many Xbox and Xbox 360 games.  Because this is suppose to be mainly a Nintendo blog I'll just list them and put the pictures up.

Hit the sales

Today I'll start with my sale grabs from game.  I managed to get Space Invaders Extreme for the DS.  I also picked up 3 Xbox 360 games.  Crysis 2 Limited Edition, Phantasy Star Universe and Prey.  Very cheap.

I also picked up Prince Of Persia The Two Thrones From CEX.

My on-line sales were all Xbox,  they were The Darkness 2 Limited Edition and Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition.

Now I shall get back to Nintendo.  I got in a sale off Ebay, Adventures Of Lolo NES From America.  Its complete but a bit tatty.

Also off Ebay, from a seller from Grease, a rare game indeed: Dragon Warrior Monsters for the Game Boy Color.

Now last but not least, another Ebay purchase from Japan.  This seller starts all his games at $0.01.  It is amazing, you can get really expensive Japan Exclusive games for really cheap.  What I got was

Let There Be Dragons

Today I received DQM2: Dragon Quest Monsters-Joker 2.  This game was released for the 25th Anniversary.  This series has been going for 1 more year than me, give or take a few months.

With this game, like the first, you have to scout new monsters from the Dragon Quest Universe and train them up for battle.  There are over 300 monsters to find and battle. 

 

PLOK?

Today's post delivered a SNES game called PLOK.  What a strange name.  The game is about the Character  Plok who lives in the land of Akrillic.  He must find all his flags that have been stolen by the evil fleas.  Yes fleas, he must be very itchy.

 

OK I think this is a very strange name so lets find out if there are any stranger game names out there.  Please feel free to post comments of the strangest game names you have seen.
